Pigeon Forge is a small town located in Sevier County, Tennessee. With a population of 6,247 people and an area of 13.355 square miles, Pigeon Forge is the perfect destination for a getaway weekend with the family or friends.

Pigeon Forge offers many unique attractions around town or nearby, like hiking trails, theme parks, restaurants, cafes, museums, hotels, and live shows. You’ll also find numerous shops to buy souvenirs for your family back home.

Dollywood

Dollywood is a theme park located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is co-owned and operated by Dolly Parton, one of country music’s biggest stars. The park is themed around southern culture and American history. The park features many of Parton’s hit songs and movies, as well as a replica of her childhood home.

Dollywood has a variety of attractions for all ages. Some of the most popular attractions are the roller coasters, thrill rides, and water rides. There are also many shows that take place throughout the day to entertain guests.

Alacatrez East Crime Museum

The Alacatrez East Crime Museum is a museum that focuses on the history of crime and law enforcement. The museum has many interactive exhibits that allow visitors to experience what it was like to be a detective or criminal.

While visiting the museum, you’ll get a chance to see the VW bug that once belonged to one of America’s most notorious serial killers, Ted Bundy.

Another famous vehicle on display at the museum that was once featured in a high-profile crime is the white Ford Bronco that OJ Simpson was driving when he took police on a wild, albeit notoriously slow, chase in 1994.

Splash Country

Pigeon Forge’s Splash Country is a waterpark that offers more than 23 slides and thrill rides, including two family raft slides, one of which features a giant bucket that dumps over six gallons of water on riders at the bottom of the slide. The park also offers other attractions such as a lazy river and wave pool for those who want to relax or just watch others have fun.

Legacy Mountain Ziplines

Legacy Mountain Ziplines is a family-owned and operated business that has been in operation for over 9 years. They offer zipline tours, zip-trekking, and zipline canopy tours.

The Legacy Mountain Ziplines are located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The ziplines are open year-round and offer a variety of different tours for all ages.

Parrot Mountain And Gardens

This popular attraction is a garden and animal theme park located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is a family-friendly destination where visitors are able to see and interact with more than 1,000 exotic birds and plants from around the world.

The park is nestled on four acres of gorgeously landscaped gardens and features hundreds and hundreds of tropical birds, flowers, plants, and trees.

The Island

The Island in Pigeon Forge is a family-friendly amusement park that offers a variety of rides, attractions, and entertainment options. The Island has been around for over 9 years and has been voted one of the best amusement parks in Tennessee.

The Island is open year-round with the exception of Christmas Day. The rides are available from 10:00 am to 12 am, and the retail shops and restaurants are open from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.

The Comedy Barn Theater

The Comedy Barn Theater is a comedy show venue that has been entertaining guests for over 25 years. It puts on a variety of comedy shows throughout the day that should appeal to both adults and kids alike.

Guests can expect to see everything from ventriloquists to jugglers and magicians on stage. Musicians entertain the audience with a mix of bluegrass, gospel, and country music, and even a few barnyard animals join in on the fun!

The Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge is located at the corner of Parkway and Old Mill Road. The theater is open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm on weekends. Shows are scheduled every hour starting at 11:00 am, with the last show beginning at 8:00 pm

Wonderworks

Wonderworks is a family entertainment center situated in a funky upside-down building that offers a variety of attractions and activities for all ages.

It has been around since 2012, and it has grown to be one of the most popular destinations in Pigeon Forge.

Wonderworks is located on Highway 441 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is open year-round and offers something for everyone. The park features both a laser tag and multi-story ropes course, numerous interactive exhibits, rides, games, and shows that are designed to entertain people of all ages.

Outdoor Gravity Park

The Outdoor Gravity Park is a relatively new attraction in Pigeon Forge. It is the first of its kind in the United States, and it offers visitors a chance to experience zorbing, which is an activity that involves rolling down a hill inside an inflatable ball.

The Outdoor Gravity Park has been designed to be accessible for all ages and abilities. It features two zorbing courses, one for beginners and one for more experienced participants. The park also includes a variety of other attractions such as zip lines, rock climbing walls, and more.

Titanic Museum Attraction

This family-friendly and educational attraction is the world’s largest Titanic museum.

The museum has over 400 genuine artifacts and features two main galleries: “Titanic Experience” and “Titanic Remembered.” The first gallery recreates the experience of boarding the ship at Southampton, England, followed by a trip through her interior and decks. The second gallery tells the story of those who survived and those who lost their lives on April 14, 1912.

Pigeon Forge Wineries

The countryside surrounding Pigeon Forge is downright beautiful, and it makes for an excellent backdrop for knocking back a couple of glasses of wine. Along the Rocky Top Wine Trail, you’ll find four wineries and a cidery offering up more than 75 varieties of wine to sample.

Even though each winery has numerous selections, you should be aware that sweet wines are particularly popular in this region. As such, there are limited dry options at most of these venues.

If you plan on visiting several wineries, make sure you pick up a passport at the first venue. And don’t forget to collect your first stamp. If you manage to visit all four wineries and the cidery, you’ll receive a free gift to take home with you.

Pigeon Forge Mini-Golf

Pigeon Forge Mini-Golf is a family-friendly attraction that offers 18 holes of mini golfing fun. The course features waterfalls, bridges, and other natural scenery to make it more enjoyable for players.

The Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster

Located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, this sled coaster starts at the top of a mountain and takes riders on a thrilling ride down the mountainside. At 27 miles per hour, this is one of the fastest sled coasters of it’s kind in the country.

The sleds can accommodate up to two passengers at a time, and a typical ride takes about eight minutes. In The evening time, the track is lit up with colorful lights. Not only is it one of the fastest sled coasters in the country, but it’s also the longest. It’s mile-plus track length takes adventurous riders through the forests and mountains at breakneck speeds.

Patriot Park

This lovely bit of green space located across the street from Old Mill Square in the center of town features a walking trail that encircles the park. This trail is perfect for visitors who want to take a stroll and the Little Pigeon River. Throughout the year the park hosts several events, including the Patriot Festival, an Easter egg hunt, and a crafts fair.

Country Tonite Theatre

This live theater show features live country music, dancers, and comedy. The show is performed in the style of a variety show, with different acts performing on stage.

The Country Tonite Theatre is located on Pigeon Forge’s main drag, has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years, and has been voted as one of the top 10 shows in the country by USA Today.

Wear Farm City Park

This fantastic 118-acre multi-use park opened to the public in 2013 and features five illuminated baseball diamonds, a football field, two playgrounds, a basketball court, three pavilions, concession stands, and a variety of walking trails.

Beyond The Lens! Family Fun

This attraction’s primary focus is pop culture, tech, and, as the name implies, photography. Beyond the Lens offers several engaging and interactive stations that are sure to be a hit with your family. The human kaleidoscope offers visitors a ton of fun with colorful lights and a variety of different scenes. They also offer an activity where you get to search for Bigfoot. And if you’ve ever desired to feel like a celebrity, you can walk down the red carpet in front of the paparazzi.

Pigeon Forge is most certainly a tourist town. You’ll be sorely disappointed if you go there thinking otherwise. But if you’re into theme parks, quirky museums, and live shows, Pigeon Forge will be right up your alley. Plus, Gatlinburg and the Great Smokey Mountains are right next door if you get a hankering to immerse yourself in Tennessee’s mountainous countryside.
