NUMBER TWO – Centennial Olympic Park

The Centennial Olympic Park is the site of the 1996 Olympic Games. You’ll enjoy over 20 acres of greenery including a diverse array of trees. You can even enjoy a round or two on the ice skating rink!

This is a great place to spend an entire day. It’s great for walking, jogging, running, or biking. You can have a picnic here or sit on a bench and soak up the scenery. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to catch up on an improving book, this is the place to go to!

NUMBER NINE – Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary

If you’re a fan of animals and zoos, you might want to visit Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. It’s a wildlife rehabilitation center that has rescued animals including big cats, wolves, foxes, birds, horses, and primates!

It’s a great place to see animals roaming around and being taken care of by professionals. If you’re traveling with children, they’ll definitely love visiting the sanctuary.

You can go on a self-guided free tour from Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 3 pm. It’s completely free to attend but donations are welcomed.

You’ll learn about the history of Atlanta and of Georgia in general. It’s one of America’s most important cities and the museum will show you the brilliance of this city.

You can explore the museum on your own or go on a free tour with a guide. The building is also beautiful so it’s a great place for taking photos.

You should also consider visiting the Governor’s Mansion. The mansion is where the incumbent Governor of Atlanta lives with his or her family. You’ll see Greek revival architecture and learn about Atlanta’s history.
